The challenge
A professional-services enterprise ran finance on Oracle ERP. Treasury built the cash-flow forecast by hand every week — a slow spreadsheet exercise, stitched from AR, AP and GL extracts. It was labour-intensive, hard to trust, and always slightly out of date by the time leadership saw it.
The approach
We deployed Intellyca on top of the client's Oracle ERP data, following our standard AI in Oracle pattern:
- Connected Intellyca to Oracle AR, AP and GL data through integration — Oracle stayed the system of record.
- Built a rolling cash-flow forecast driven by time-series models on the client's own Oracle history.
- Enabled conversational analytics so treasury could ask "what's our projected cash position in six weeks?" and get an instant, explainable answer.
- Automated the weekly refresh, replacing the manual spreadsheet stitch.
The results
- 35% better forecast accuracy versus the prior manual method.
- A 13-week rolling cash view, refreshed automatically from Oracle data.
- Treasury reporting cut from hours to minutes, freeing the team for analysis instead of assembly.
Why it worked
Rather than replace Oracle, we layered intelligence on top of it. The governed, high-quality data was already there — the value came from turning it into a forward-looking, automated forecast. It's the same AI in ERP principle we apply everywhere: integrate, prove value fast, expand.
